JLG’s founder, Allie Jett, has extensive experience in litigating contract, title to real property, ad valorem property tax, probate estate, and boundary/easement disputes. She often provides title insurance claims and coverage counseling. She also frequently acts as a court-appointed Special Master in quiet title proceedings. Allie is admitted to the bar of all State of Georgia Courts, Northern District of Georgia Federal Courts, and the state courts of South Carolina.

REAL ESTATE LITIGATION
JLG’s real estate litigation practice focuses on being tough advocates for our clients from local administrative board hearings all the way up to the State Supreme Court. However, we recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all litigation strategy and that the most effective counselors provide honest legal analysis of a case and revisit that analysis as the case evolves. No client should set a litigation strategy without first understanding its true cost. JLG emphasizes strong client participation and education in cooperatively developing a litigation strategy.
Property tax litigation
JLG’s founder, Allie Jett, has spent the length of her legal career working closely in the property tax industry and has litigated many cases up to the appellate level, developing a depth of experience matched by few in the state. JLG represents investors purchasing properties at tax sale, tax lien holders, homeowners or lienholders seeking to redeem properties from tax sales or requesting surplus funds, or assisting local government taxing agencies in collecting their delinquent property taxes or acquiring properties through statutory Land Bank Authority procedures.
Trusts and Estates
Through over 15 years of dealing with title and family issues related to heirs’ properties, Allie Jett has become a strong advocate for helping property owners take a pro-active role in determining the disposition of their property holdings. JLG takes a holistic approach to its probate practice. From counseling families on end-of-life planning via the preparation of last wills and testaments and related powers of attorney and living wills, through the post-death stage of ushering administrations and probate actions through the probate courts of the estate.
